Planning is a never ending battle all teachers face. I always feel the biggest hit at the beginning of the year, when you have to submit your year plan to administration. I find it somewhat difficult. I don’t know about you, but I never stay on track and I’m always branching off. Last year, I decided to take a closer look at my year plan and organize it in a way that could be more forgiving! I was perusing pinterest one day and stumbled across this great link. This was it! What I have been searching for. So I created my own little plan based on this model and came up with this.
I’m totally obsessed with this model. I added little arrows moving clockwise starting at the provocations all the way to reflections. Reflections had an arrow back to provocations, as the reflection that is done can create new provocations to be added. It was much more flexible with an early learning environment that is focused on inquiry learning. I’m never going back to my boxed in schedule! Hope this can help you in your planning for the year! You can find this model on my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
